Elton John blasts Putin for calling liberal values 'obsolete'

Elton John blasts Putin for calling liberal values 'obsolete'

In an interview with RFE/RL released on June 13, said that the incident near the Kerch Strait was a Russian provocation, while Putin in Osaka claimed that the Ukrainian defense official allegedly admitted that it was the then-president Poroshenko's provocative act.

"There are all kinds of things now - they came up with six or five genders: transformers, trans..."

John, who is gay, fired back in a social media post Friday, saying he was "deeply upset" by the interview and strongly disagrees with Putin's view. "I did say it", Trump said, according to CNN. "We have a law that everybody is angry at us because of the law that doesn't allow propaganda of homosexuals among underage population".

Mr Putin was asked about Sir Elton's comments in Osaka, Japan, where he was attending an event as part of the G20 summit.

Putin described the talks in Osaka as a "good meeting, business-like, pragmatic" and said the leaders agreed that two-way economic ties required improvement. "The situation is abnormal and we should fix it somehow".

Increasing heat and humidity for holiday week
Not every town will see one but any storm that develops could pack a punch with strong winds, heavy rain and frequent lightning. Heat ramps up on Sunday as Grand Strand temperatures climb into the lower 90s and the Pee Dee reaches the middle 90s.

Saturday in Japan, Putin said, "Speaking of Elton John, I respect him very much ... but I think he is mistaken".

"I could see trade going up with Russian Federation, we could do fantastically well", he said before returning to the question, and adding, "I did say it, and I did discuss it a little bit after that, too", CNN reported.

"Naturally, other issues were discussed, but this subject was brought up as well", he said.

"His conduct reinforces that we urgently need a president who can restore our standing in the world, heal relationships with key allies Trump has alienated, and deliver real change for the American people", the campaign statement on Sunday added.

Putin argued that Russia's ban on "propaganda" of LGBT culture among children is aimed at protecting them from aggressive proselytizing by the LGBT community. "Every crime must have its punishment", Putin said in the interview.
