Trump tries to pick Twitter fight with soccer star Megan Rapinoe

In a video published on June 25, sports website Eight by Eight asked Rapinoe, a midfielder who is just as cool on the field as she is off, if she's excited to go to the White House if they end up winning. Rapinoe's teammates Becky Sauerbrunn and Alex Morgan have also said that they will not attend the White House should the team win the World Cup. He had to delete them the first time around because he made a critical mistake in the first tweet, tagging a different Megan Rapino who is not the soccer player.

She also received backlash for becoming the first white athlete to kneel during the anthem in 2016 to show support for National Football League quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who started kneeling during the anthem to protest against perceived racism and inequality by law enforcement toward African Americans.

The president also tweeted that he will invite the US team "win or lose".

Megan Rapinoe of U.S. celebrates after scoring her team's first goal during the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup France Round Of 16 match between Spain and US at Stade Auguste Delaune on June 24, 2019, in Reims, France. Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team. You have to respect our flag and our country.

Trump acknowledged Rapinoe, who scored two penalties because the U.S. beat Spain within the last 16, can keep in mind to "pick sooner than she talks".

"Megan should WIN first before she TALKS!".

Prince Harry and Meghan are coming to SA in 2019
The two who are Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote on Instagram that this would be their "first official tour as a family". On Thursday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they are heading to South Africa in the fall.

But it seems that regardless of how the USWNT performs in the ongoing tournament in France, the team may reject Trump's offer. During the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, Rapinoe has stood respectfully during the national anthem, but has abstained from singing or putting her hand over her heart during the ceremony.

Clay Travis: "If you're Megan Rapinoe, your audience is primarily young girls. The USA is doing GREAT!" he said. Trump starts by talking about Rapinoe, but quickly pivots to the National Basketball Association, invoking the Golden State Warriors refusing to visit the White House after their National Basketball Association championship.

United States' Megan Rapinoe, front, celebrates with teammates after scoring the opening goal from a penalty spot during the Women's World Cup round of 16 soccer match between Spain and USA at the Stade Auguste-Delaune in Reims, France, Monday, June 24, 2019.

Over the past few years, Rapinoe has used her platform as one of the world's top female soccer players to speak out on a number of social and political causes and human rights issues, even referring to herself as "a walking protest".

"I think a lot of it also has to do with the economics", Trump said.
