Michigan Catcher Suffers Brutal Hit At College World Series

MI baseball, back in the visitors dugout at TD Ameritrade Park, wearing their road navy uniforms, had scored first again. The Tar Heels defeated the Beavers 4-3.

The Commodores were a model of consistency from start to finish this season.

The Commodores finished the season with a school-record 59 wins.

The Commodores scored three runs with two outs in the third. Both runners who reached via free passes wound up scoring in that inning, as JJ Bleday delivered an RBI single and Ethan Paul drove in another with a sacrifice fly. Vanderbilt also becomes the fourth team in the last five years to win the College World Series after losing Game 1 of the best-of-three finals.
