Arsenal to make Wilfried Zaha offer after latest development, talks held

Since returning to Palace after a solitary season at Manchester United, Zaha has established himself as by far their most important player, and once again become a target for top clubs.

Arsenal have enquired about the possibility of signing Zaha from Crystal Palace, according to Sky Sports.

Palace have put an £80m price tag on Zaha, and are unlikely to shift easily after agreeing to sell their other star player, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, to Manchester United.

Coach Unai Emery is now hoping to be able to raise enough funds from the sale of Aubameyang, including the money that comes with qualifying for the Champions League to sign the star.

Zaha was a boyhood Gunners fan, and he would reportedly jump at the opportunity to move to the Emirates Stadium, with Zaha only wanting to join Arsenal this summer.

Zaha is now on worldwide duty at the African Cup of Nations, and will therefore miss the start of pre-season training.

Arsenal were believed to want to offload their high earner in the transfer window to free up funds to approach Celtic's Kieran Tierney and St Etienne's William Saliba, the paper says.

The Gabon global was surprisingly linked with a move to Manchester United earlier this month, with Italian outlet Tuttosport today claiming that he has "said yes" to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. A club statement at the time read, "The rehabilitation process is expected to take between six to nine months and therefore rules Hector out of action for the remainder of this season".The Spanish defender was one of Emery's key players and look revitalized under the 47-year-old's guidance but unfortunately will be out for a while.

But Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal and Calum Chambers are all among those likely to leave.
