Amazon's Prime Day will be two days this year

Make that the busiest two days of shopping, as the e-commerce giant is looking to extend the already massive sales event to run for a full 48 hours for the first time.

'Our vision is that Prime Day should be the absolute best time to be a member - when you can enjoy shopping, savings, entertainment and some of the best deals Prime members have ever seen, ' he added. Otherwise, subscription fees start at $12.99 a month or $119 a year, covering a long list of benefits across categories as diverse as shipping, video and music streaming, reading, and perhaps best of all, these exclusive deals and discounts.

This will be the fifth iteration of the annual event for the online retailer, who has boasted that the event will feature more than a million deals all over the globe. Amazon says Prime members will also see dramatic deals on Alexa-enabled devices, claiming they'll be the "biggest Prime Day deals ever" on such hardware.

Much like a year ago, Prime Day 2019 will bring along with it a bunch of new product launches for Prime members as well. By the looks of it, the company is most likely to launch a new variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro, instead of launching an all-new smartphone.

It's worth remembering that to take advantage of these offers you will need a Prime account.

It's safe to assume Prime Day is Amazon's biggest sale event of the year. The company had routinely amped up this figure as a way of showing the growth of Prime Day.

According to Amazon, Prime members will also get free expedited worldwide shipping for all eligible Prime products through the global store during Prime Day. On July 15, the sale will kick off in Australia with thousands of products discounted across all categories. Users also have the option of bundling up all their Prime Day purchases into a single shipment scheduled for an Amazon Day of their choice.

Shoppers purchaed more than five million toys, beauty products, PCs, apparel items and kitchen products.
