Kate Middleton dons blue dress for Royal Ascot

Italian-born superstar jockey Frankie Dettori is once again the talk of Royal Ascot as he began Thursday winning the first three races on the card, and he heads into the fourth race, the featured Gold Cup, aboard the favorite and last year's victor Stradivarius.

The senior royal was no doubt trying to give racegoers a clear look at Her Majesty, who is known to wear bright colours so she can be seen in a crowd.

Camilla teamed with Queen Liz in an aqua outfit accessorised with her go-to aquamarine three-strand pearl necklace.

Rupert Adams, from William Hill, said his bookmakers had a good day in the Queen's hat betting as she wore blue for the second day running.

Princess Anne's family filled up the entirety of the third carriage.

The traditional carriage procession marks the start of the annual racing event.

With 22 separate sales pending, the other 20 resolutions involved arms sales to other allies, including the United Arab Emirates. A court in London ruled that Britain had acted unlawfully in the way it granted export licences for arms exports to the kingdom.

Blue seemed to be the color of choice for several of the royal women, with the Queen, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall all wearing various shades.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, who is on maternity leave, and Harry, Duke of Sussex did not attend the event.

The royal sported an intricate, ankle-grazing dress by Lebanese couturier Elie Saab on Tuesday, as she attended Royal Ascot with husband, Prince William, and assorted members of the Royal Family.

"The quality and depth of competition at the royal meeting has also continued to prosper, with eight group one races taking place this week".

The duchess embraced the famed horse race's dress code in the powder-blue midi number, which featured lashings of lace, a dusting of embroidery across its sheer sleeves and pleated skirt, and a demure pussybow neckline.
