Vivo to Showcase 120W Ultra Fast Charging at MWC 2019 Shanghai

A product manager for Vivo posted a video to Weibo this week, showing off the company's new Super FlashCharge technology in action.

As with Xiaomi's charger, there are questions over potential heat issues and the number of recharges associated with Vivo's Super FlashCharge. Earlier this year, Xiaomi showed off a 100W wired charging solution that fills a 4000mAh battery in just 17 minutes, and Vivo is now aiming to outdo that with its Super FlashCharge tech. That is an insane charging speed for a device given the size of the battery. While areas like performance, display and camera have been traditional arenas of competition, companies have recently begun exploring new charging technologies to allow users even lesser downtime from their smartphones. Vivo claims that its 120W charging technology will completely charge a 4000mAh battery phone in just 13 minutes. The company initially revealed its plans of launching a 100W Super Charge Turbo fast charging solution back in March. The official video shown below demonstrates the technology. The 4,000mAh battery of the iQOO smartphone takes only 45 minutes to reach full capacity through its 44W fast charging tech. However, there are speculations the tech could first feature in VIVO's 5G phone which will be announced at the same event.

Pakistan announce ‘robust review’ amid World Cup struggle
India versus Pakistan's world cup match, which took place on Sunday, was an epic battle that we witnessed in recent times. Pakistan's next opponent is South Africa on June 23 at the Lord's, what would be a do or die game for them.

Should it become available for Vivo devices, that would be the fastest charging solution to date, rivaled only by OPPO and OnePlus' own charging tech. The company claims that its technology can charge 50 percent of the phone in 5 minutes.

Vivo is all set to launch a new 5G phone at MWC Shanghai next week but that is not all you should be excited about from the Chinese smartphone giant. The 120W super flashcharge is a huge improvement over the previous tech, though we are not sure when to see this in real usage.
