Extreme turbulence leaves 10 injured, throws flight attendant into ceiling

There were 121 passengers on board the French-Swiss-German border with when the incident occurred.

Footage captured aboard an ALK Airlines flight traveling from Kosovo to Switzerland depicts the moment severe turbulence sent a stewardess and bar cart flying upward into the ceiling of the aircraft before crashing down on those seated below.

Ms Basha told Swedish news site 20 Minuten some people were scalded by hot water. A massive jolt was responsible for lifting the cart off the plane floor and into the ceiling before the contents feel back down, along with the serving flight attendant.

"The flight from Pristina with airline ALK experienced turbulence in the air around 20 minutes before landing", an official for the EuroAirport Basel says for ABC News.

At least one unlucky flight attendant happened to be on her feet rather than buckled in at the time the turbulence struck.

Texas Poll: Trump Losing Among Independents in Texas
Trump has complained to staffers about the polling data disclosure for several days, White House and campaign advisers said. Fox's poll was taken June 9-12 of 1,001 registered voters, and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

A video shared by the New York Post shows the airline worker and her cart flying into the ceiling and crashing down into the seats.

According to EuroAirport, some passengers reported being burned by scolding water from the drink tray. A woman in Basha's row then folds her hands and begins praying in the aftermath of the turbulence. She was also among the passengers to be taken to hospital seeking medical attention.

An ambulance was waiting when the plane landed and ten people were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.

Gaskell said the departing plane from EuroAirport to Pristina was delayed by one hour because of the incident.

ALK airlines said in a statement obtained by Fox News that the seatbelt light was illuminated when the turbulence hit.
