Chris Paul Refutes Report He Wants To Leave Rockets On Instagram

According to a report from Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports, the relationship between Paul and Rockets All-Star guard James Harden is "unsalvageable", and Paul wants out of Houston as a result. "We're literally trying to do real work on making the team better and every day I have to learn about a new media rock that has been turned over".

Capela signed a five-year, $90 million contract prior to last season.

The report states that the two multiple time All-Stars went almost two months without speaking during the season and Paul even went to Rockets' management and demanded a trade citing "him or me".

If Paul were to be traded, where would you like to see him play? "Two competitive superstars at that level, there's going to be times when they are extremely competitive, extremely focused on how do we get to that next level, and when we don't there's going to be frustration", Morey said. "Chris doesn't respect James' standing in the league, and James doesn't respect the work Chris has put in to this point".

Harden, 29, is under contract with the Rockets until 2023, when he has a player option. Houston was also bounced by Golden State the year before in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals.

According to another source familiar with the relationship, "It can't be fixed". "I'm frustrated, our top players are frustrated, Mike D'Antoni is frustrated".

Chris Paul and the Houston Rockets have been in the news as of late for all the wrong reasons.

Things aren't looking great in Houston.

The town isn't big enough for Chris Paul and James Harden. Paul then asked to be traded while Harden offered his ultimatum.

Dealing the 34-year-old could prove hard; Paul is owed more than $79 million over the next two seasons and has a $44-million player option for the 2022-23 season.

Morey may have been "frustrated" by his team's postseason exit, but he told the Chronicle that he was "very frustrated right now" about the steady drip of stories alleging turmoil among in Houston.
