Xiaomi to end MIUI Global Beta program in July

Xiaomi to end MIUI Global Beta program in July

That puts the tentative date for the launch as mid-July. While the objective of the beta is to give users the chance to try out new software and provide feedback, Xiaomi says that most people just use the software on their main phones and don't bother with feedback at all. However, that is not how Xiaomi wants its users to experience MIUI.

It merits calling attention to that all the Xiaomi smartphones, aside from the ones that are a piece of Google's Android One and Android Go program, at present runs custom MIUI skin over Android OS.

Xiaomi also confirmed that the flagship phones out of the 11 devices mentioned above would get the Android Q update by Q4 2019, while the mid-range Redmi K20, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 series will receive it in Q1 2020. This means MIUI users who are keen on getting future features prior to the public release will no longer get them. There were steps on how to install it and what kind of bugs can a user expect. The Xiaomi smartphones come with MIUI stable ROM out of the box which is mostly bug-free and also recommended for day-to-day usage. The company has been releasing MIUI Global Beta ROMs for its community and developers in all of their devices, which helps to support them in developing the software according to the needs of the people. Xiaomi is sending their updates through Beta and Stable editions.

Iran to scale back nuclear deal commitments: Tasnim
Insurance costs in the Persian Gulf are soaring. "The suspicious nature of incidents for oil tanker is not a joke", Mousavi said. Iran did not specify what actions it will take or say what "positive signals" it expects to see from its global partners.

The other side of the story However, testers have a different take on the issue. The main difference of the beta version is that it gives access to new features and latest innovations earlier than stable, but it loses in terms of stability. With no Global beta ROM to test, the company now has to depend on the feedback received by the Chinese beta ROM testers.

Currently, there are totally two versions of the software; MIUI Stable and MIUI Beta.
