Gulbadin Naib Hilariously Pulls Back Eoin Morgan To Run Him Out

England captain Eoin Morgan slammed the fourth fastest century in the history of cricket World Cup as the team took on Afghanistan in the ICC World Cup 2019 at Old Trafford today.

Morgan, dropped on 28, dominated a third-wicket stand of 189 with Joe Root (82), whose contribution to their partnership was a mere 33.

Morgan struck a record 17 sixes - the most number of sixes by a player in an ODI innings - and 4 fours during his scintillating knock which saw the wheels coming out of Afghanistan's bowling unit.

Riding on Morgan's whirlwind innings, England posted 397 for 6, the highest total of this World Cup. Morgan hit one more than the previous record, which was jointly held by Rohit Sharma, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle.

Afghanistan's Rashid Khan had a day to forget as he gave away 110 runs in nine overs.

His innings, which featured 118 runs in boundaries, was all the more impressive as Morgan had been doubtful for this match with a back spasm suffered in England's eight-wicket win over the West Indies.

Jonny Bairstow smashed 90 and Joe Root made 88, but it was Morgan's breathtaking six-hitting display that turned the match into a statistician's delight. He achieved the record feat with a six off Rashid Khan.

Morgan went fully ballistic immediately afterwards, smashing two sixes in the over. His 17-six knock helped him create world record for most sixes in an ODI innings. Morgan blasted 11 sixes when he reached his hundred off just 57 deliveries.
