Mbappe is going nowhere, says PSG president

Reports from France are indicating that Paris Saint-Germain are willing to sell Neymar this summer, two years on from his record-breaking move from Barcelona.

Neymar has been embroiled in controversy in recent weeks since allegations of a sexual assault in a Paris hotel surfaced.

Neymar's strike partner Kylian Mbappe recently said he wanted more responsibility at PSG and Al-Khelaifi added he has spoken to the World Cup victor about these comments.

The Lyon man, who has been courted by all of the usual suspects - Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain - over the previous year, has come to the attention of Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy recently, after a series of impressive performances in the Champions League.

It is no surprise that World Cup victor and Manchester United star Paul Pogba wants to leave the club.

The report comes on the back of strong comments from chairman and CEO Al-Khelaifi about the attitude of squad members.

He has relentlessly fended off questions about his intentions as a free agent, saying he was focused on winning the championship. That's an incredibly fair assessment from a player who would surely benefit from Leonard deciding to re-sign in Toronto.

The Qatari businessman told France Football: "Mbappe will 200% be at PSG next season". "It must be completely different".

Al-Khelaifi also said was the first to blame for the ill-discipline last season and vowed to embrace his responsibilities. "They are not here to have fun, and if they do not agree, the doors are open, Ciao!" while adding "I do not want any more star behavior". "I will not let go of this "crazy" player". There are of course contracts to respect, but the priority now is complete commitment to our project.

Al-Khelaifi, however, insists Mbappe will not be allowed to join the influx at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"In two minutes, it was settled between us", Al-Khelaifi said.

However, RMC dispute the claims, stating that while Neymar has expressed to people close to him that he would like to leave himself, PSG have declared the player "non-transferrable".

"I realised that changes were essential, otherwise we were going nowhere", he admitted.
