Calm down! Katy Perry stars in Taylor Swift's new video

Ahead of the video release, a rumor spread on the Internet that claimed Katy and Taylor would share a kiss in the video, and fans were not happy at the insensitive idea.

Swift released "You Need to Calm Down" on Donald Trump's 73rd birthday, and at the very end of the video is a pink screen with the words: "Let's show our pride by demanding that, on a national level, our laws truly treat all of our citizens equally". Please celebrate this video by supporting their work, following them, and going to see them perform.

The colourful video includes cameos by celebs like RuPaul, Ellen Degeneres, Laverne Cox, Queer Eye's Fab Five, Ciara, Ryan Reynolds, and even Katy Perry. Taylor managed to get many stars for featuring a cameo in the music video.

Early Monday morning, June 17, 2019, Taylor Swift dropped the official video for her new single "You Need to Calm Down". Close to 200,000 people have already signed the petition.

"But despite how heartwarming it is to see the two popstars and former friends reunite, the best part of video had to have come during the line "'cause shade never made anybody less gay", when Taylor appears to straight up throw a middle finger into the air.
