Shooting at California Costco leaves one dead, two injured

A gunman opened fire at a Costco store in Southern California on Friday night, killing one man and injuring two others, police said.

Shoppers and employees described terror and chaos when shots rang out shortly before 8 p.m. Friday and police swarmed the store.

Two people were injured while another was killed.

One of the injured was an off-duty officer from another law enforcement agency.

A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting. The names of the adults injured have not been released.

The suspected gunman told officers he had been injured and was taken to the hospital, Edwards said.

Witnesses say a shooting at a Costco store southeast of Los Angeles sparked a stampede and left several people injured. 'There is no apparent threat to our community from any outstanding persons'. "We will release more information as we work to confirm the facts".

Trump weighs in on possible Sarah Sanders replacement
It was only when she was under oath and facing potential jail time did Sanders admit she made the whole story up. Former press secretary Joe Lockhart wrote on CNN that Sanders' legacy would be enshrined in the Mueller report.

One person on Twitter claimed that the emergency doors would not open when the shooting occurred. CNN could not immediately reach Costco officials.

"It's not very fun when you're scared and you're running for your life and you're trying to open a door that says "emergency" and they don't open", Flores told the station. "Everybody was freaking out". Two other people were wounded.

Personal items belonging to shoppers who fled the store, including purses, cell phones and backpacks, were secured by officers, police said in a statement Saturday morning.

Shrieks can be heard on video shot by shopper Nikki Tate, who had stopped by the store with her daughter to pick up steaks for Father's Day.

The officer involved suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital and then discharged, Kraft said. The surrounding area was blocked off to pedestrian traffic.

The victims' identities have yet to be released, with the fatal shooting victim's identity being withheld until the Riverside County coroner's office notifies the family.
