Cash registers reportedly down at all Target locations nationwide

"Our teams are troubleshooting now and we apologize for the inconvenience", the company wrote.

Across the country, cash registers at Target retail stores were reported down Saturday afternoon.

The outage caused long lines but prompted an encouraging show of sympathy for Target employees from people on Twitter.

Business as usual at the Target Store located at Flagler Street and 101 Avenue in Miami, Florida, on Saturday, June 15, 2019.

Targetgeddon? That's what some customers are saying as they wait in long lines for Target's cash registers to come back online. "Every single person working there is wonderful & I honestly feel for them".

In a tweet , Target said that it's "aware that guests are now unable to make purchases at Target stores". A widespread outage affecting registers at Target stores is causing havoc nationwide Saturday.

It's not clear how many Target stores have been affected or the reason for the issue.

No word from Target on what caused the outage.

"We will provide an update as soon as possible", the tweet stated.

"To my fellow target employees, stay strong in this dark time".

Apparently the system being down had some reevaluating the true necessity of their purchases, because you know what they say about going to Target for "just one thing".
