O.J. Simpson joins Twitter on 25th anniversary of wife's murder

Focusing on the positives may become a challenge for Simpson on Twitter based on some of the responses he has received to his early morning tweet. So this one... is the only official one. I got some getting even to do.

Simpson confirmed the new account to The Associated Press on Saturday, saying in a phone interview while on a Las Vegas golf course that it "will be a lot of fun". A lot of the Twitter world isn't so sure they want that. "I've got a little getting even to do", he said without elaborating. "Coming soon to Twitter you'll get to read all my thoughts and opinions on just about everything", the former football great and accused killer says. "So God bless, and take care". He posted a video on the newly-created account with a message.

Within less than 24 hours, the account had more than 75,000 followers.

If the account truly belongs to Simpson, its launch is oddly timely: June 12 marked the 25th anniversary of the murders of Simpson's ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman.

Kardashian West is now studying law and working as an assistant to two attorneys, with the goal of becoming a lawyer. Kim's visit aimed at promoting efforts to help those leaving prison return to the workforce without any judgement.

After Simpson was acquitted in the criminal case for the infamous double-homicide, he was ordered to pay $33.5 million in wrongful death damages in connection with the corresponding civil case.

Referring to Simpson as a "posterchild quintessential abuser", she added: "The truth of the matter is he did beat my sister dating back to 1978, we've seen those pictures, those journal diary entries".

The 72-year-old has slowly started to embrace the spotlight after serving nine years in a Nevada prison for armed robbery.
