Juventus 'agree' deal with new manager to succeed Massimiliano Allegri

According to reports, Chelsea and Juventus have struck a £5 million deal which will allow Maurizio Sarri to join the Bianconeri as manager despite spending just 1 season at Stamford Bridge, albeit a relatively successful one.

Sarri only took over as Chelsea boss from countryman Antonio Conte last summer and on paper at least the 60-year-old enjoyed a succesful season at Stamford Bridge: finishing in third place in the Premier League, reaching the Carabao Cup final, and winning the Europa League.

Chelsea will be keen to secure a replacement well before the first senior players return for pre-season training in the first week of July, with Lampard high on their list of candidates. There is also a long-standing desire to bring Didier Drogba back to the club in some capacity, while former midfielder Claude Makelele, who quit as manager of Belgian side Eupen on Friday, has also been linked with a return.

He will replace Massimiliano Allegri ahead of the 2019/20 season, assigned the task of helping Juve become European champions for the first time since 1996.

Chelsea are expected to seek talks with Derby over a deal to install Frank Lampard as the next Blues manager.

Stanley Cup Game 7 Dominates
The Blues then knocked off the Jets, Stars, and Sharks to reach the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1970. They've got nothing on me. "She's special she's so cool", Parayko said in May.

Nevertheless, Lampard still impressed in his role as Derby's head coach, and Chelsea are now ready to hand him one of the biggest jobs in English football. Erik ten Hag is apparently committed to Ajax, and Nuno Espírito Santo and Javi Gracia, who have been mentioned in dispatches, would cost considerably more in compensation to extract from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford respectively.

Derby, Lampard's current employer, will not stand in his way, provided Chelsea are respectful in their pursuit and pay £4million compensation.

Derby County are braced for a formal approach from Chelsea to speak with Frank Lampard following Maurizio Sarri's departure for Juventus. Sarri will sign a three-year contract with Juventus.

But then most clubs aren't Chelsea.
