Toronto Raptors beat Golden State Warriors to win first title

The doubts seeped in, maybe there would be a game seven back in Toronto, and maybe the defending champions would have their shot at redeeming themselves and coming back from down 3-1 in a series, and maybe the Raptors playoff history would find a new way to re-invent the torments of years past.

The Toronto Raptors are officially the winners of the 2019 NBA Finals! Curry talked of how tough it was to drop this series but understood the magnitude of the championship for Toronto and told Drizzy that his city deserved the win.

From there, the emotions took over and they still feel somewhat overwhelming after the game, watching the team celebrate and enjoy the moment they'd given themselves.

"It was heck of a 12 months", Toronto head coach Nick Nurse said after his side clinched a first title in their 24-year history. "Two months of playoff basketball, they never seemed exhausted to me".

The problem is the Warriors did not have a timeout, which gave the Raptors a free throw and possession in the Bay Area. Lowry scored the first eleven Raptors points of the game, and he was everywhere for most of the night.

Mrs Sanders held fewer briefings than any of the preceding 13 press secretaries, according to the American Presidency Project. Sanders is married to pollster and strategist Bryan Chatfield Sanders, with whom she shares three children.

"When Klay goes down and is out for the game, it's just sort of a, you got to be kidding me, like this has to stop", said Warriors coach Steve Kerr. "I don't know if it's related to five straight seasons of playing a hundred plus games and just all the wear and tear, but it's devastating".

Both Durant and Thompson will be free agents in the offseason.

The Raptors, led by star forward Kawhi Leonard, defeated the Warriors in six games.

"So really proud of the way that we fought until the end and this five-year run's been awesome, but definitely don't think it's over".
