Taylor Swift - "You Need To Calm Down"

Taylor's new single, "You Need To Calm Down" dropped Friday morning at Midnight, and needless to say, her fans could not calm down.

In addition to revealing the album would include 18 tracks, during the live chat Swift announced, " There's a lot I've been so excited about for so long and I wanted for the right time to tell you things.

"Lover" will also feature Swift's previous single, "Me!" which Deseret News reports features Panic! And that's because Lindsay went wild in the comments section of the live blog video, saying things like "You should respond!" and "My mom was in cats". Later that night, she made much the same appeal at an iHeart Wango Tango concert in Los Angeles, appearing in full rainbow garb, leaving fans to wonder whether the fringe of many colors might make its way into the next video.

She broke the news with a post to her 118 million Instagram followers with a picture of the album cover.

Explaining that anti-gay hate won't cause anyone's sexual orientation to change, Swift sings, "And control your urges to scream about the people you hate / 'Cause shade never made anybody less gay".

Taylor Swift performs at Wango Tango in California. First, their queen released a series of countdown photos on Instagram in a totally new, sparkly aesthetic (the countdown lead to the essays she penned for Elle about turning 30 and being a musician).

Pointing to the badge on his shirt, the 28-year-old kissed it to leave the 50,000 strong crowd in no doubt about his allegiance. Despite everything I've done in the past, it will be like beginning from zero. "This club never gives up and we will prove it".

She also started a petition online in support of the Equality Act, which more than 178,000 people have signed.

The hint at a collaboration could signal the end of that feud, and possibly what track number (13) that collaboration may be on the album.

It's called Lover and will be released on August 23.

Her upcoming album Lover is a follow-up to her 2017's reputation.

There will be four deluxe special editions of the album.
