Cuba Gooding Jr. Arrested for Allegedly Groping a Woman in NYC

Cuba Gooding Jr. turned himself in to the New York Police Department on Thursday, the NYPD confirms, following allegations that he groped a woman at a rooftop bar in Manhattan over the weekend.

The woman who was allegedly groped by Cuba Gooding Jr. says she was trying to help the actor while he was very intoxicated.

Heller said he doubted the accuser would show up at court hearings and suggested prosecutors should charge her with perjury if she testified in court and her allegations were contradicted by video.

"I trust the system and I'm going to let the process speak for itself". Gooding was involved in another bar-related incident in New Orleans in 2012. But it certainly doesn't help Gooding's case with the alleged Magic Hour groping incident, which was reported to police on June 9.

"I have known Cuba for nearly 30 years and his conduct towards women is always respectful", he says.

Chumps to champs! St. Louis Blues complete improbable journey to Stanley Cup
The 19-year-old returned to action in Game 6 after missing the last four games of the Stanley Cup Final with a wrist injury. There's no guarantee this core veteran group of Boston Bruins ever will return to the Stanley Cup Final.

Mr. Heller explained he has tried to contact the Manhattan District Attorney's Sex Crimes Unit, but is still waiting for a return phone call as he wants to know if they have seen the video.

Gooding, for his part, has vehemently denied the allegations, claiming there's video evidence that will exonerate him. In that case, a bartender said the actor was agitated with customers who wanted photos with him and that he pushed her when she asked him to leave.

As for Sunday night, Gooding told TMZ that he was at Magic Hour partying with friends but didn't touch anyone.

Security video shows that Gooding left the club soon after.

Asked about the reported allegation on Monday, NYPD spokesman Detective Martin Brown said, "We don't really have anything official to say about it other than that there's been an allegation and that it is now under investigation". He also recently scored an Emmy nomination for his performance as O.J. Simpson on FX's "The People v. O.J. Simpson".
