HTC has two (mediocre) new phones, proving it's not dead just yet

HTC, the Taiwanese smartphone maker, has added two new smartphones to its portfolio after not launching a single phone in nearly six months.

The HTC U19E (photo above) is powered by a Snapdragon 710 and 6GB of RAM.

For storage the device will feature 128GB built in, if you need some additional storage then there is a microSD card slot for expansion.

In terms of the imaging capabilities, the new HTC phone houses a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 12-megapixel primary shooter with an f/1.8 lens and a 20-megapixel shooter with an f/2.6 lens. Talking about the pricing, the HTC U19e is priced at TWD 14,900 (approx Dollars 475 / INR 33,000) and will go on sale starting tomorrow. It runs on Android9.0 Pie out of the box with HTC Sense UI laid on top.

The HTC U19e has a recommended retail price of 14,900 Taiwanese dollars (~$475), making it more expensive than the $400 Google Pixel 3a. The phone will go on sale starting July.

Speaking of other specifications, the HTC U19e's inbuilt storage is 128 GB and the phone has a rear fingerprint sensor. The HTC U19e 4GBRAM+64GB is priced at TWD 9,990 (Rs 19,988) and the 6GB RAM+ 128GB variant is priced at TWD 10,990 (Rs 24,260.) The HTC U19e will be available in Star Can Blue and Jasmine White options. While the specs seem pretty standard for a mid-ranger, I'm digging the look of this phone, especially the "Extraordinary Purple" variant. It has a 6.2-inch display with HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

The HTC U19e is powered by a 3,930mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support.

Regarding the battery, the device has a capacity of 3,850 mAh and without support for fast charging. Last but not least, this smartphone also includes HTC BoomSound speakers with Hi-Fi Ultrasound output.

The Desire 19+ features a triple-lens main camera formed by a 13-megapixel primary lens, a 8-megapixel ultrawide, and 5-megapixel depth sensor. Instead, HTC has opted for a single 16-megapixel snapper that supports Face Unlock.
