Sherif has been kicked off Love Island

Ex-Love Island contestant Sherif Lanre has broken his social media silence after being booted off the show for breaking an unknown rule.

The 20-year-old has now returned to his official Instagram account after leaving the ITV2 show.

It's now reported that Sherif will not appeared on Love Island: Aftersun on Sunday night, meaning the reason behind his exit will remain a mystery for even longer.

Read the DMs below; The "leaked screenshot" is doing the rounds on Twitter.

In Love Island history, Sherif is the second person to get booted out of the villa due to their behaviour.

"I regret that I didn't conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20-year-old guy, it's something I know I will take on board and learn from", Sheriff also added to his statement.

"I need to look at his Love Island code of conduct and I need to speak to him properly to find out what really happened".

Sherif is a semi-pro rugby player who lives in London.

He described himself as "cheeky, confident and pretty flamboyant" when he first introduced himself to viewers in May of this year.

3 takeaways from USA's record-setting win over Thailand
Even so, the three-time Women's World Cup champions had no desire to go easy on a lesser opponent in their opening game. The US has not conceded a goal since it beat the Matildas 5-3 in Colorado in April , a run of five consecutive matches.

Instead, voiceover Ian Stirling will simply announce that he has left.

It is what it is.

'After breaking the villa rules, Sherif had conversations with the producers and it was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa'.

Screengrabs of a message from the islander reveal he had a fight with Anton in the villa.

However, an ITV representative has confirmed to HELLO! that these are actually fake and are not from Sherif.

"Asked him for a chat in private because I wanted to confront him and it got heated and security had to split us up, heartbroken but s*** happens man".

ITV however, have shut down claims of a fight between the islanders.

Now, a spokesperson told Heart that the messages aren't real.
