Feel the force in this new Jedi: Fallen Order trailer

EA opened their schedule of EA Play streams with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay, and not a small teaser, but fifteen unedited minutes from the game.

Making somewhat of a surprise appearance, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order cropped up during Microsoft's E3 presser. This will be the first single player title that EA has released since gaining the Star Wars licence.

With two big eyes, a set of antennae, and a pair of gangly legs fit for the silliest of chickens, BD-1 is a companion to Cal Kestis, Fallen Order's protagonist. Its approach to combat and level design look like they have a lot in common with games like Jedi Knight II and The Force Unleashed. In the trailer, Kal highjacks an AT-AT and blasts his way through part of Kashyyk before running into Saw Gerrera, one of Star Wars' more recognizable heroes.

Cyclone Vayu likely to make landfall in Gujarat coast on Thursday
The storm, presently around 540 kilometres south-southwest from Mumbai can move northwards as it gradually intensifies. The entire Gujarat coastline, starting from Kutch to south Gujarat, has been put on high alert.

Which makes sense when you factor in that Cal can Force push giant metallic structures, block Blaster fire with his Lightsaber, and double jump in mid-air. For now, we can rest assured that Cal will never betray the Jedi. It was hard to get a feel for it, but it seems like there are two kinds of enemies: regular mooks who go down in one or two swings and foes that are more unsafe.

The bridge to get to Saw is down for some reason, which requires Cal to explore the area a little more to find an alternative power source to raise it.

With a decent variety of abilities at your disposal (and, presumably, the option to augment them using skill points), Fallen Order seems well-suited to creative thinking. We sat in for a behind-closed-doors gameplay demo at EA Play 2019 and came away impressed.
