Manchester United make "substantial" bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Manchester United make

Wan-Bissaka made 39 appearances in all competitions to help Palace finish 12th in the league previous year and he's tipped to become a senior England worldwide soon having represented his country at youth level. "That is where my contract is and that is where I will be next season".

"It's confirmed!" Schira wrote on Twitter. "Manchester United want to close for Aaron Wan-Bissaka".

The England U21 defender enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with Crystal Palace last season that saw him establish himself as a key player under Roy Hodgson and he's now earned a reputation as one of the most exciting young talents in British football.

Should they pay the £60m Palace want?

It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will go back in for the Englishman, but they have to fill a void at right-back with Antonio Valencia having left the club and Diogo Dalot potentially not yet ready to be the regular man in that position.

Manchester United were reportedly targeting Aaron Wan Bissaka from Crystal Palace as they need defensive reinforcements ahead of the upcoming season.

Another potential problem for Man United is competition in the race to sign Wan-Bissaka.

The Red Devils may pursue the signing of either Kieran Trippier or Thomas Meunier of Paris Saint-Germain if they fail to secure the services of Wan-Bissaka in the summer.

For United to compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City, they will have to spend big and wisely on signing players who fit into their system.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth star Fraser, 25, is a new name to be linked with Old Trafford and is also understood to be interesting Arsenal.

Without investment, Palace could have to sell Wan-Bissaka or Wilfried Zaha to help to fund new signings.
