The New York City Fire Department is responding to a report of a helicopter crash at a building in midtown Manhattan.

One person was aboard the helicopter.

Numerous emergency responders rushed to the scene at 787 Seventh Avenue between 51st and 52nd Streets.

It does not appear anyone else was on board when the crash occurred at around 2 p.m.

A helicopter crashed on top of a building in Midtown Monday afternoon.

Shauna Farrell was in a meeting on the 36th floor of the building when she said she felt the crash, prompting herself and others on the floor to get out of the building.

A New York City Police Department source told CBS News that the helicopter crash-landed on the roof but did not go into the building.
