Blues' Ivan Barbashev to have hearing for hit on Bruins' Marcus Johansson

This is the second St. Louis suspension of the series, with center Oskar Sundqvist missing Game 3 after boarding Matt Grzelcyk in Game 2.

Ivan Barbashev will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Friday.

The NHL has suspended St. Louis Blues forward Ivan Barbashev for one game for an illegal check to the head of Boston Bruins forward Marcus Johansson.

Barbashev caught Johansson up high early in the first period Thursday.

Cejudo (15-2) said he had a severely sprained ankle heading into the fight but overcame it despite the pain. Cejudo picked up where he left off in the third, immediately going after Moraes's head with jab after jab.

Johansson said he wasn't injured.

In the regular season, Barbashev scored 26 points (14 goals, 12 assists) in 80 games. Johansson said after the game he was "a little bit" surprised there was no whistle, and noted he felt "good" ahead of Game 6, which is scheduled for Sunday in St. Louis. The B's also have played remarkably well on the road in the 2019 playoffs, including wins in five of their last six games away from home. "That's what I hear a lot about", Cassidy told reporters.

Blues coach Craig Berube alluded to a potential suspension for Barbashev following the game, according to ESPN, saying "it's heavy hockey out there both ways, and they're going to look at some stuff once in a while".
