Google and Stadia will likely have some competition in the cloud gaming space.

This hasn't been confirmed yet, though, and is still liable to be changed in the coming months.

The service's games are headlined by Destiny 2, The Division 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Doom, and the three most recent Tomb Raider games.

As far as content is concerned, Alphabet Inc. has attracted some of the industry's biggest game developers, including Bethesda, Ubisoft and Square Enix.

Moving beyond the Android TV support and the new Stadia service looks like an interesting proposition for gamers. But, with Google entering the market as a cheaper alternative, the major gaming providers are going to have tough competition.

So if you can get YouTube, you should theoretically be able to get Stadia, but the quality of the stream may not be as pretty as the people with the good internet. The service will launch in 14 countries initially: the US, UK, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden, with others following in 2020. The brief pitch is compelling: play state-of-the-art games like the upcoming Ghost Recon Breakpoint without spending hundreds of dollars on a console or PC.

"At launch, if you're a Stadia user, you can play Stadia exclusively on Pixel 3 and 3a devices".

The Google Stadia Pro subscription package costs £8.99 ($10) a month and includes access to games in 4K resolution running at 60 frames-per-second - as long as your broadband connection is fast enough, of course.

Destiny 2 will come with the base game, all previous add-ons, the new Shadowkeep expansion and the annual pass. Stadia Pro, priced at $9.99 a month, will include free and discounted games, according to Google. The company did not discuss game pricing, but digital downloads of video games have traditionally carried the same price as a physical copy at retail.

Today we finally got details on Google Stadia, the games it will offer, how much it will cost, and when it will release. This will allow access to some of Stadia's launch library, which can - at 35mbps - be played at 4K resolution/60FPS/5.1 surround sound.

Here's what you need to know right now. Base also limits streaming to 1080p and stereo sound.

"Because we have that focus, we are able to make decisions that aren't hindered by the need for, frankly, the games to also run on a box in your living room", says Buser, who previously worked on Sony's PlayStation Now streaming service.

Google has also opened up pre-orders for a Google Stadia Founder's Edition bundle, which includes a three-month Stadia Pro subscription with access to Stadia at launch as well as three months of Stadia Pro to give away to a friend. Included in your starter kit is a Stadia controller, a Chromecast Ultra, and a three-month subscription.

If the Stadia Pro subscription is what you're after, Google is offering a Founder's Edition bundle that offers a great deal on the base equipment you need to get started.
