Gwyneth Paltrow Completely Forgot She Was In Spider-Man: Homecoming

The Chef Show, as its called, premiered June 7 on Netflix, and the first episode features none other than Pepper Potts actress Gwyneth Paltrow. Explaining the origins of the show, Favreau says he and Choi first started cooking on film together while he was working on Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Favreau, who worked on numerous same movies as an actor and producer, brought up Spider-Man when he was explaining The Chef Show, in which he appears alongside celebrity chef Roy Choi. "I was in Avengers", Paltrow existed, appearing increasingly concerned. "We weren't in Spider-Man!" He and Paltrow have shared the screen on a number of occasions, including a scene at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

He gives her a little more about what Potts was doing in the scene, and then it comes to her.

The internet appreciated it, too, and had plenty of zingers. At this early stage of the chat, we're not even at the point where she is thinking of her own appearance - she can't quite comprehend that Favreau himself was in the movie.

But it will be visible all month long, rising at dusk and staying in sight throughout the night. Jupiter is a gas giant and the largest planet in our solar system.

Paltrow's next role is in the Ryan Murphy, Netflix series The Politician, in which she will play someone other than Pepper Potts.

"We weren't in Spider-Man."

"That was Spider-Man?!?" laughs Paltrow. "Remember we were on Spider-Man?"

"Yeah, we were in "Spider-Man" together", Favreau replies. When reminded of the scene, it appears this was literally the first time she realized it was shot for a Spider-Man film and not an Avengers movie, expressing genuine astonishment as she asked, "That was Spider-Man?" Look, I'll prove it to you. The revelation happened during an episode of "The Chef Show", during which time a conversation turned to confusion when director Jon Favreau brought it up.
