Confirmed - Eden Hazard completes Real Madrid transfer

Eden Hazard officially joined Real Madrid from Chelsea for just over $112 million.

"Real Madrid CF and Chelsea FC have agreed to the transfer of Eden Hazard".

"The player remains linked to the club during the next five seasons, until June 30, 2024".

"Eden Hazard will be presented as a new player of Real Madrid on Thursday June 13 at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, after passing the relevant medical examination".

His final appearance for the Blues was in their recent thrashing of Arsenal in the Europa League final in which he scored twice.

The basic fee for Hazard is expected to reach £100million, the sum for which Chelsea had been holding out despite the 28-year-old entering the final year of his Stamford Bridge contract.

Hazard has made no secret of his wish to eventually end up at Los Blancos, with one of his close friends and worldwide colleague, Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke, admitting that the former Chelsea winger had told him it had always been his "dream club".

Real Madrid endured a miserable first season in the post-Cristiano Ronaldo era, as it finished third in La Liga (Spain's first division) and exited the UEFA Champions League in the Round of 16 after winning it the previous three seasons.

Why I want to leave Spurs, by Eriksen
The Danish worldwide , who has just 12 months left on his contract, says a move to Real Madrid would his ideal destination. If I then sign a new contract, it depends on the conditions". "But in football you do not know when clarification comes".

"The memories he leaves us with will not fade", Granovskaia said.

Hazard, who becomes Chelsea's most expensive sale, expressed his gratitude to a club where he has spent the last seven years while admitting he had always longed to play for Madrid.

"I have made my decision already and now I'm waiting on both clubs".

Hazard's move to Madrid sees him reunited with former Chelsea teammate Thibaut Courtois, who left Stamford Bridge in a £35 million deal last summer.

"Wherever I go, Hazard must come along". He was named the tournament's second-best player, behind Croatia's Luka Modric, his new Real Madrid teammate.

Brazilian forward Rodrygo is also due to join Real next season after agreeing a reported 45 million euro move from Santos a year ago.

Hazard could be joined by Christian Eriksen, who on Wednesday announced his desire to leave Tottenham this summer.
