Trump risks protocol breach with hint Prince Charles backs Brexit

Defending the United States as "clean", the US President Donald Trump in a discussion with Prince Charles about climate change and the environment, faulted India, China and Russian Federation for air and water pollution.

Trump said: "He [Prince Charles] is really into climate change and I think that's great...."

Asked by host Piers Morgan about the Prince's views, Mr Trump said: 'He feels we have a lot of good choices. "I want that, I like that".

They said that the demonstrations were held to show solidarity with those "damaged" by Trump's policies. "I'll tell you what moved me is his passion for future generations - he's really not doing this for him, he's doing this for future generations".

The President also spoke warmly of "terrific guy" Prince Harry, and denied the Royal had avoided him at Buckingham Palace. "He wants to make sure future generations have a climate that is good climate, as opposed to a disaster, and I agree".

Trump said of the wait to see who would become the new British Prime Minister: "I found it to be a very fantastic period of time, especially having spent so much time with the Queen, who I think is an incredible lady". I think it changes both ways. "Don't forget, it used to be called global warming, that wasn't working, then it was called climate change, now it's actually called extreme weather".

Trump has called climate change a "hoax", and his administration has rolled back environmental protections aimed at preventing climate change and pulled the USA out of the Paris climate accord.

"Look, we have a thing now with tornadoes".
