Nokia 2.2 is the most affordable Android One phone yet

Nokia 2.2 is the most affordable Android One phone yet

The Nokia 2.2 starts at an introductory price of ₹6,999. And not just that, the handset will also be updated to Android Q. However, rumors suggest the Nokia 6.2 will sport a punch hole display, meaning that the notched panel and accompanying features probably belong to the cheaper Nokia 5.2.

The smartphone will go on sale from June 11 and it will be available from retail stores, Nokia website and Flipkart. The sound gets muffled every time the phone is placed on a hard surface, so we'll be curious to see how this works out when we use the Nokia 2.2 in the real world as part of our review process.

There is a 13-MP autofocus camera at the rear with a single flash and 5MP selfie camera. Not quite, argues HMD Global as it launches its latest Nokia-branded phone.

Inside, the Nokia 2.2 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset with either 2 GB or 3 GB RAM onboard.

One of the key features of the Nokia 2.2 is the dedicated Google Assistant button on the left edge.

The final decision De Ligt needs to make
On Sport's front page on Wednesday, the newspaper claims De Ligt will make his decision over the course of the next week. Rightly so, we've been hearing plenty about Matthijs de Ligt lately.

The Nokia 2.2 makes up for its meager hardware software features that the hardware can hopefully support. The top features a 3.5mm audio jack, while the base is loaded with a micro USB port.

There are two colours in which the Nokia 2.2 has been launched, Steel and Tungsten Black. That said, it is too early to comment on the processing power of the device, but looking at the sheer specifications, it is certain that the phone will compete with the likes of Realme C2, Xiaomi Redmi 7 and Infinix S4. Currently, the smartphone runs Android 9 Pie out of the box and HMD Global proudly claims that it will be the most affordable smartphone to get Android Q and probably the only smartphone in this segment to get a timely update. The phone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. It houses a dedicated button for launching the Google Assistant.

Other features include face unlock and Google Lens.

Nokia 2.2 is priced at Rs. 6,999 for the 2GB RAM, 16GB storage variant while the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant will cost you Rs. 7,999.

Connectivity options on the Nokia 2.2 include 4G VoLTE, Dual 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, Global Positioning System and Micro USB port.
