Warriors star Thompson doubtful for Game 3

Warriors star Thompson doubtful for Game 3

ESPN, citing a league source, wrote that "there is optimism among the Warriors" that Thompson can suit up for Wednesday's Game 3.

The Golden State Warriors were still waiting late Monday afternoon for the results of an MRI exam on guard Klay Thompson's injured left hamstring.

Golden State Warriors big man Jordan Bell made quite the entrance for Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

It will be a major setback for Kerr if the Warriors are without Looney and Thompson as they are nearly certain to be without Durant, who is yet to recover from the right calf strain sustained during the Western Conference semifinals against Houston Rockets.

Thompson didn't talk to the media in a formal setting Sunday night but told a couple of reporters walking out of the arena he expected to play.

Since Facebook bought Instagram, the photo app has copied many of rival Snapchat's features, including face filters and stories. He said the investigation would not target one specific company but rather focus on the belief that "the internet is broken".

Without Looney, the Warriors will become more dependent on center DeMarcus Cousins, who made a strong return from his own injury in Game 2.

Also growing in importance thanks to Looney's bad break is veteran Andrew Bogut, who came on in the second half Sunday after not playing in Game 1.

So we have a definite answer about one of the Warriors dealing with injuries in the NBA Finals.

Thompson left Game 2 against the Toronto Raptors with left hamstring tightness early in the fourth quarter after he landed awkwardly while attempting a three-pointer.

The Warriors traveled to Oakland, Calif., following Game 2 but didn't arrive until after 4 a.m. local time, delaying Thompson's MRI and Looney's MRI and CT scan until later in the day. Both played well as the Warriors tied the series at 1-1. "He thinks it is minor, so I don't know what that means going forward".
