The Trumps arrive at Buckingham Palace, meet the Queen

Donald Trump and his wife Melania pose for a photo with Queen Elizabeth II during a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace on Monday (June 3) in London, England.

Kate Middleton joins other royal ladies Camilla Parker Bowles and Sophie Countess of Wessex, who have both earnt the special title in 2012 and 2010 respectively.

FYI: Kate is wearing an Alexander McQueen dress and the Lover's Knot tiara.

Although the president was visiting, the American Duchess Meghan was absent from the event as she is on maternity leave after giving birth to her first child last month.

What is perhaps the biggest fashion statement the Duchess of Cambridge made this evening was her blue, red and white sash, badge and star of the Dame Grand Cross of the Victorian Order (GVCO). The rubies were a wedding gift to the queen from the people of Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) for her marriage to Prince Philip in 1947. The Victorian Order includes people who help the queen or represented her.

And even though the MacBook Pro is Apple's premium notebook line, the only ports you'll find on it are USB-C and a headphone jack. What the company didn't reveal during its keynote is one key feature users have been requesting for years: mouse support.

Last night was the first time Kate had donned the sash, which is to be worn at formal occasions such as stater dinners.

The tiara has become a favourite of Kate's, and she last wore it to a banquet in October of past year. Swipe ⬅️ to see #behindthescenes photos of the Palace Attendants and Royal Florists transforming the Ballroom and setting the table earlier today.

The Queen didn't appear affected by the incident, and, according to the royal family's website, Trump wasn't technically in violation of protocol - he just didn't go the customary route.
