Queen Elizabeth Gifts Trump A Winston Churchill Book On World War Two

As is the case with the US First Lady on most state visits, Melania Trump is the focus of fashionistas' attention.

He was greeted by Theresa May but and her husband Philip May.

Call it first lady fashion diplomacy.

The chapeau she wore this week to meet the queen (designed by her frequent go-to designer, Hervé Pierre) brings to mind a few other memorable headgear moments.

Melania once again demonstrated her ability to dress diplomatically while maintaining her elegance when she stepped out in front of the mansion in a gorgeous red sequinned cape-sleeve gown to welcome the guests of honor.

It ended with an extravagant State Banquet at Buckingham Palace where formal toasts were exchanged between the two nation's heads of state. She also gifted President Trump a three-piece Duofold pen set using an obsidian design that was made exclusively for the queen, and a specially commissioned silver box with a handcrafted enamel lid to Melania. Her hair was styled in a stylish bun and she wore her usual smoky eye and minimal jewelery.
