Severe storms possible for Memorial Day

Severe storms possible for Memorial Day

Today: Rain all day with a thunderstorm chance this morning. This upper-level ridge will remain in control of our weather pattern through Memorial Day. Setting the heat aside, comfortably warm low 80s are present most other days this week, including Memorial Day.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms, then drying out late. Large hail, damaging winds, heavy rainfall and a few tornadoes will all be possible tomorrow.

More storms are likely on Tuesday, including another risk for some to become severe. On the other hand, between these storm chances plenty of dry time will be enjoyed for outdoor work. This area of high pressure kept the rain, storms and severe weather away from the ArkLaTex and a bubble of hot and humid air over the area.

Knock-on impact for Nissan in Fiat Chrysler and Renault tie-up
In a statement , Fiat Chrysler said the combined business would be owned 50-50 between its shareholders and those of Renault . Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has proposed a "50/50 merger" with Renault , the French vehicle maker's board has confirmed.

Even after the sun sets, we're still not guaranteed relief from the day's storms. Temperatures stay near average in the 70s and upper 60s. Storms won't be as widespread as overnight Sunday, but any storms that do fire may be strong to severe once again. Some models are hinting at storms Wednesday night southeast of I-35 and a weak disturbance possibly giving a few spotty showers Thursday evening in extreme northeast KS however will keep the area dry and will continue to monitor these small chances.

Pop-up showers and storms are possible this afternoon and evening.
