Best Buy cancels Galaxy Fold preorders

Best Buy cancels Galaxy Fold preorders

Though Best Buy hasn't said anything official about this mass cancellation yet, at least one customer is reporting that they've received an email from the company confirming that their pre-order has been canceled.

Now BestBuy has followed suit, announcing that it too is canceling pre-orders. It's likely that this new design is still a long ways off and Samsung still plans to release the "fixed" Galaxy Fold when it's ready.

It isn't clear as to how much inspiration Samsung took from Huawei, but it is clear that this patent comes at an opportune time for Samsung.

England's reply saw James Vince, on his Hampshire home ground, make 64 and stand-in captain Jos Buttler a blistering 52. England's warm-up game against Australia began with fast bowlers Jofra Archer and Mark Wood suffering injury scares.

According to a Samsung patent, which was spotted by Patently Mobile, the future Galaxy Fold phones would have a different design where the screen would fold out, rather than the current scenario where the main screen folds in, and there's another smaller screen on the outer shell. These hurdles have led Samsung to postpone the release of the Galaxy Fold, and Samsung has not provided a new release date. Now, it seems Best Buy is exhausted of waiting on the new release date and has made a decision to cancel all of its Galaxy Fold pre-orders. We considered the Galaxy Note 10 as it is the only smartphone that's set to make its debut in the second half of the year with the Galaxy Fold already being officially announced. This will allow us to provide you with the latest updates we may have on the Galaxy Fold.

The detail and design of the Game of Thrones inspired Galaxy Fold certainly is something to behold as it pays homage to story and houses of Westeros. And until the device is available for purchase once again, the company will not be taking pre-orders for the phone. There's still every intention to sell the Galaxy Fold at Best Buy, but for now it's unknown when, or even if it will ever appear for sale.

It looks like the quote was misdirected as the smartphone manufacturer is now stating the fate of the Fold release date will be revealed in the next few weeks and not days as previously stated.
