Pochettino: No decision on Spurs future until after Champions League final

In an interview with Sky Sports, Mourinho - who has won the Champions League twice - feels that success against Liverpool could be the first of many trophies for Spurs. "We have asked, but (Real Madrid president) Florentino (Perez) didn't want to allow us". Tottenham will do so on Thursday May 30 and Friday May 31.

Laughing, the Spurs boss added: "He would say, "the day you coach Madrid is when you can sleep there".

"Real Madrid wants to make it clear it is completely false that this request occurred. This is the subliminal message no?"

Mauricio Pochettino insists no decision will be made on his Tottenham future until after the Champions League final.

The 13-time European champions have not received Pochettino's words well and have called out the Tottenham manager's comments in an official statement.

Iran Revolutionary Guards commander: United States 'won't dare attack' country
Iran now faces an attack that is more complex than any it had faced before, Rouhani said at a ceremony commemorating the 1980s Iran-Iraq war.

Pochettino was heavily linked with the vacant position of Real Madrid coach last season when Julen Lopetegui and then Santiago Solari were sacked. "Our club has always shown its absolute availability to meet all the requests made by UEFA, the Spanish Football Federation, Club Atletico de Madrid, Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur".

"All the requests made to Real Madrid were solely and exclusively about the use of training pitches and dressing rooms at Ciudad Real Madrid, and they were all conceded by our club".

"Real Madrid CF also wants to emphasize that the accommodation of the finalist teams of the Champions League are assigned by UEFA following criteria of organization and security".

Given how long it's been since Tottenham signed anyone, their fans will likely only believe Sessegnon is going to join them when he's holding up their shirt at the training ground - but Liverpool's confidence that he will move to north London must be a promising sign. "At no time has our club received requests that these teams could be accommodated in the facilities at Real Madrid City".

Pochettino meanwhile must also decide whether to thrust Harry Kane, who has confirmed he is also fit, straight back into the fold for the showpiece at Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on June 1.
