Lakers' James making recruiting pitches to Butler, others

The Lakers face one of the most important offseason in franchise history this summer.

"I don't think the Lakers can be choosy".

LeBron James watched the news conference from the back of the gym at the team's facility, but did not shake hands with Vogel and declined interview requests.

And ESPN's Brian Windhorst reports James has already begun his recruitment pitch. "From what I understand he has already begun the recruiting process".

As with any Lab126 project, there's no telling whether or not the Dylan wearable will ever actually see the light of day. This patent is for a system that will be able to differentiate between the device wearer's voice and background noise.

"I have talked to him several times since he chose to step away, these things are surprising to hear", Pelinka revealed to reporters when asked about Johnson's comments. I have heard he's had contact with Jimmy Butler. "There is no tampering enforcement by players and while Magic Johnson, the guy who got in trouble for tampering before, is no longer there LeBron is tamperer-in-chief for the Lakers right now".

The Lakers reportedly won't hire anyone above general manager Rob Pelinka in the wake of Johnson's resignation. Both are expected to be two of the most coveted free agents this offseason. "So I started getting calls from my friends outside of basketball saying those things now were said to them outside of basketball now, just not in the Lakers office anymore". "I think that people can look at this as an opportunity to come and win a championship, possibly next year".

The Lakers struck out in adding a second star for James previous year, but the superstar is trying not to let that happen again.

Plus, there's always the strong possibility that each of those players could return to their current teams - Durant to the Golden State Warriors, Irving to the Boston Celtics, Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers and Leonard to the Toronto Raptors.
