Honor 20 series smartphones coming soon to India on June 11

Close on the heels of the USA move, Google restricted Huawei's access to Android operating system updates and to some mobile services.

Honor Global recently launched a new smartphone series on May 21st that is Honor 20 series which included three new handsets.

It's a bit of a tough time for Huawei's budget sub brand Honor to release its latest flagship phone, but, the show must go on.

For imaging, Honor 20 Pro features a quad-lens setup with 48-megapixel optically stabilized main camera that uses Sony IMX586 sensor with wider f/1.4 aperture and equivalent focal length of 28mm. Both Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro models have four rear sensors, but they differ in how they work. Similarly, the ability to zoom in on a subject at 3X lossless optical zoom, 5X hybrid zoom and 30X digital zoom means that users can shoot minute details - a useful feature for nature-loving photographers who are looking to photograph elusive wildlife, or street photographers who portray the hassle and bustle of city life.

"On the front, a 32MP selfie camera lives inside a punch hole in the 6.26" display - an LCD panel with 1080p+ resolution (19.5:9 aspect ratio). The budget flagship space is getting crowded and Huawei's subsidiary, Honor intensified the heat at a press event in London with the launch of Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro and Honor 20 Lite.

A product team official of Honor said that the three smartphones that were unveiled will be launched in India on June 11 and there is no change in schedule as of now.

Top U.S. officials have not publicly described in detail those threats but have described them as credible. The United Arab Emirates also says four oil tankers off its eastern coast were sabotaged.

The other big selling point is the quad-camera setup on the back.

Elsewhere, the Honor 20 Pro comes with a healthy assortment of specs including 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, Kirin 980 processor (the same as what you get in the much more expensive P30 Pro), dual nano-SIM card slots, and a sizable 4,000 mAh battery.

First the Honor 20 Pro, which is the flagship offering here. The Honor 20 Pro also uses proprietary graphene sheet cooling technology to ensure the device stays cool during intense gaming sessions. The AI learning capability and image processing speed has improved 134% and 46% respectively due to the dual-NPU and the dual-ISP enabled by the 7nm Kirin 980 AI chipset. Also, there's no stabilization added to any lenses on the Honor 20.

OnePlus 7, Mi 9 and ZenFone 6 have a new budget competitor in Honor 20 series smartphones.

The block means new and yet-to-be-released Huawei and Honor phones are unlikely to be able to access Google apps as part of Android, although a temporary license and grace period sanctioned by the USA government will initially allow support for existing devices until August.

Regardless, if you want to buy either of them, Honor will be selling the 20 and 20 Pro for €499 and €599, respectively. The Honor 20 Lite price in Europe will be Euro 299 (approximately Rs 23,200). The Honor 20 Pro also doesn't have a headphone jack, although unlike the OnePlus 7 Pro, it at least come with a 3.5mm adaptor in the box. They both support 22.5W SuperCharge 1.0.
