Allegri to leave Serie a champions, Juventus

As reported by Goal, Allegri held crunch talks with Juve president Andrea Agnelli on Wednesday, amid press rumours that Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was being lined up as his replacement.

With the huge outlay on Cristiano Ronaldo last summer, it looks like Allegri has paid the price for Champions League failure at the hands of Ajax. Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey has already signed for the Italian club on a free transfer from Arsenal for next season.

In a brief statement on the club's website, Juventus said: "Massimiliano Allegri will not be on the Juventus bench for the 2019/2020 season".

The 25-year-old has battled for a place in Massimiliano Allegri's strongest XI for the most part of this season, scoring just 10 goals across all platforms.

Allegri has not announced where he will go after leaving Juventus, but he has been linked with a number of jobs in Europe recently, including Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

"At the end of several reflections and analysis, we identified that this was the best decision to make". The former Cagliari and AC Milan manager has won the Serie A title in every season at the club.

Also in attendance from the royal family was the queen , Prince Philip, Princess Anne, Prince Harry and Prince Edward. After the wedding, though, Meghan and Harry quickly proved that they weren't going to do things the traditional way.

"We are all useful but no-one is dispensable, starting from me".

The coach says he has not made a decision regarding his next move and suggested he could take time away from the game.

"We have grown together and it is the right moment to leave the club in the best possible way". I have two more years here.

Allegri's final two matches with Juventus will be against Atalanta tomorrow in Turin and at Sampdoria the following weekend.

Allegri is believed to have been shown the door for failing to deliver Juventus' first Champions League title since 1996.
