Xiaomi Redmi 7A Surfaces on TENAA Revealing Camera, Hardware and Other Specs

Xiaomi is expected to officially launch the Redmi Note 7S in India on May 20, but there have been series of rumours, leaks and teasers to build much-needed hype for the new phone. However, with Redmi Note 7S, it is offering the 48MP camera at the same price as the phone that was launched earlier.

The base 3GB RAM version with 32GB of storage has been priced at INR 10,999 while the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB of storage will set you back by INR 12,999.

On the camera front, the smartphone is equipped with 13 MP selfie camera and 48 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera that features PDAF and EIS. The company announced the launch of a new device called the Redmi Note 7S in the country which seems to be positioned between the existing Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro.

The Redmi Note 7S has a fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock for security. On the rear of the device, a triple camera setup can be seen on the middle of the device with a red ring on one of the sensors. Now, Xiaomi has made the phone available in an open sale manner on,, and Mi Home stores.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S' biggest highlight is the 48MP dual camera at the back, which is aimed to bring the popular premium sensor to the masses. The Redmi K20 is Redmi's upcoming flagship device which features the Snapdragon 855, a pop up selfie camera, a rear triple camera setup with wide angle lens and more. Tt could be that the brand had excess 12MP camera modules and wanted to get rid of them before rolling out the 48MP model.

The Redmi Note 7S runs on octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 clocked at 2.2GHz.

Redmi Note 7S also comes with P2i splash-resistant coating and an IR blaster.

This pricing puts the Redmi Note 7S sandwiched between the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro. It has a hybrid dual SIM/microSD slot. It comes in two storage variants 32GB and 64GB. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery which can be charged via a USB Type-C port that supports QuickCharge 4.0. It comes with a dedicated night mode to improve low light photography.
