The Queen attends Lady Gabriella's wedding in Windsor

Lady Gabriella (often affectionately referred to as Ella) wore a attractive Russian fringe style diamond tiara (also known as the Kent City of London Fringe tiara, which was worn by both her mother, Princess Michael of Kent, and her grandmother, Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, on their wedding days) along with a white lace gown designed by Italian designer Luisa Beccaria and veil.

Prince Philip (pictured with Prince Harry) has made a rare public appearance at the wedding of royal bride Lady Gabriella Windsor and groom Thomas Kingston in Windsor today.

While the surrounding streets were not quite as packed as they were on this weekend a year ago, there were still plenty of chances to goggle at royal guests - although there was disappointment if they were hoping to see baby Archie.

Cape Town - Lady Gabriella Windsor married Thomas Kingston in a fairy tale ceremony - and the British royal family was there it witness it.

The sovereign's grandson Prince Harry, who married Meghan in the chapel on May 19 past year, also attended.

"Thank you so much for making all of this possible, both the handsome St George's chapel and here at Frogmore, a place so filled with charm and history throughout the house and in the charming gardens", the royal said according to Hello! magazine.

The teenage centre-back has been impressive for Ajax this season and led his side to the semi-finals of the Champions League . It's claimed that Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich are willing to pay it.

It is the bride's prerogative to be late and she arrived 12 minutes after the ceremony was supposed to start at noon, gliding along in a Rolls Royce with her father by her side. Lady Gabriella chose a bespoke gown by Luisa Beccaria for her big day and wore the same fringe tiara her mother and her paternal aunt, Princess Alexandra, chose for their marriage celebrations.

Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were among the guests.

It was announced last week Prince William, who is the President of the FA, would attend the 2019 FA Cup Final in London which coincided with the wedding.

The reception was being held at nearby Frogmore House, where Harry and Meghan staged their wedding dinner.

Friends say she has fond memories of childhood Christmases at Windsor, before the Queen moved her festivities to Sandringham, and she was also a bridesmaid for her first cousin, Lady Helen Taylor, there.

It was king George who changed the family name from Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to Windsor - after the castle - in 1917 due to anti-German sentiment during World War I.
