Samsung Galaxy Watch Active features arrive on older Samsung smartwatches

Samsung announced that it is bringing One UI to its lineup of smartwatches starting this week, watches that include the Galaxy Watch, Gear Sport, and Gear S3.

The update for the smartwatches brings Samsung's new One UI interface, which first launched on the company's Galaxy phones.

Besides the new UI, there are two major changes. While these features won't be so hot if you aren't enthused with One UI's memory management, they could be helpful if you're determined to get through a weekend without recharging your wristwear.

With the update, Samsung has also improved heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking.

As US ends tariffs, some of Canada's Conservatives wary of shaky deal
The Mexicans and the Canadians went along previous year with a revamped regional trade deal that was to Trump's liking. Meanwhile, the U.S. is the biggest buyer of aluminum from Canada, accounting for 84 percent of its aluminum exports.

One UI for Samsung's smartwatches introduces improved settings that are easier to find, ability to enable/disable Touch wake-up, improved control over Daily Briefing updates, and the ability to turn on/off Goodnight mode depending on your own personal sleeping habits. From there, go to the About Watch section and tap on Check For Update.

For the unhealthy amongst us, who aren't interested in the updated fitness features, there are a selection of new watch faces, as well as the possibility of improved battery life with "new battery optimization". The Samsung Health app now offers Daily Activities screen right from the start to keep tabs on your progress.

The update also adds better battery optimisation - the watches will automatically close apps operating in the background to prevent battery drain, Digital Trends reported on Sunday.
