Realme X gets announced with pop-up selfie cam, costs under $300

The phone also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock support.

The smartphone will have upto 128GB of internal storage with support for additional storage up to 256GB.

Unlike the no-notch dispaly of the Realme X, this one comes with a dewdrop notch and offers an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

In the camera department, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and is coupled with a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The device also has a 6.53-inch AMOLED display.

Under its hood, the Realme X features similar specifications as the 3 Pro. It just at the middle, and houses a 16MP f/2.0 selfie sensor. Today, we're getting to witness a more refined product - the Realme X - which comes with a pop-up selfie camera, 48MP rear camera, VOOC fast charging, and a lot more. The tech allows these phones to achieve more than 50% of their battery capacity with just 30 minutes of charging time.

The company also announced Realme X Lite.

This week a new mid-range phone was introduced to the world, the Realme X. If you haven't heard of the brand, it's sort of a sibling of OPPO in that both companies come under DDK in China. The toned-down version of Realme X comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ water drop notch display and a gradient glasstic design finish.

Realme X Lite runs on Snapdragon 710 SoC witn upto 6GB of RAM and the same software, Color OS 6 based on Android 9 Pie.

Price-wise, the Realme X with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage goes for CNY 1,499 (~RM 911) while the 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB variants are priced at CNY 1,599 (~RM 972) and CNY 1,799 (~RM 1,093) respectively. The lights of this smartphone are kept on by a 4045 mAh battery which support VOOC 3.0 flash charge. The company also launched the Realme X Naoto Fukasawa collection in collaboration with the world's top industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa.

The rebranded Realme 3 Pro, the Realme X Lite has been priced lower in China. Realme X with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will be available at CNY 1,799 (Rs 18,400 approx). Realme also launched the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants for CNY 1599 (approx United States dollars 230 / INR 16,000) and CNY 1799 (approx USD 260 / INR 18,000) respectively.

Coming to Realme X India launch, Realme CEO Madhav Seth is already arranged a special media meeting in Beijing, China.
