'Star Wars' upcoming film will be from 'Game of Thrones' creators

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is slated to release this Winter, after which Iger said the franchise will take a three-year hiatus to "figure out what's next" and "gear up for the next film's release" in 2022.

Whatever it ends up being, Disney+ will no doubt have even more surprises for us down the line. Meanwhile, three Star Wars streaming shows are set to arrive on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service, including The Mandalorian, a Rogue One spinoff series focused on the character of Cassian Andor, and a now undisclosed show.

Game of Thrones will come to a conclusion on Monday at 2am and 9pm on Sky Atlantic.

No word has been revealed about when Rian Johnson's trilogy will arrive, but Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released on December 20 of this year. Now Disney CEO Bob Iger is hinting that we'll get another live-action Star Wars series before 2022, as well.

Star Wars deal: 'We did a deal with David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who are famous for Game of Thrones, and the next movie we release will be theirs.

Kim Kardashian hints baby name is Teddy in cryptic tweet
When she tweeted about the boy on Saturday, May 11th, fans thought that perhaps Kim was hinting at its name. Kim and Kanye are already parents to three lovely children named North West , Saint West and Chicago West.

Iger didn't let on what the third TV show would cover, but space is a big place - and Star Wars won't exactly run out of planets or characters they can mine for new shows.

Disney said that Weiss and Benioff's films would be separate from the classic Skywalker Saga and Rian Johnson's new trilogy.

Fans are already speculating they could be released in the alternating years, 2023, 2025 and 2027, but that has not been confirmed.

The Mandalorian follows the story of a bounty hunter played by Game of Thrones and Narcos actor Pedro Pascal, while the other, untitled series with Luna follows the story of Cassian Andor and the droid K-2SO, who is played by Alan Tudyk. Notwithstanding, there is going to be plenty of Star Wars content available to bridge the gap.
