James Bond film suspends shooting after Daniel Craig injured

After multiple delays due to script issues, a director departing and more, the 25th Bond film has hit another snag after star Daniel Craig injured his ankle while filming an action sequences for the film.

Daniel Craig straps on his expensive shoes for the last time as James Bond, as the shooting of Bond 25 recently kickstarted in Jamaica. "He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly", the source details.

The insider said: "He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle". He was also pretty angry that it had happened.

The actor was flown to a USA hospital to get X-rays. "He threw his suit jacket on the ground in sheer frustration".

Since then, Craig also has suffered a muscle tear while filming Quantum of Solace (during which he also sliced off the tip of a finger), and sustained a serious knee injury while filming a fight scene for Spectre, which caused production to shut down for weeks.

Trump told reporters Tuesday it was "a great thing" that Barr opened the inquiry but said he did not ask Barr to investigate the matter.

The Sun says it understands that filming at Pinewood Studios in London, scheduled for this coming weekend, has been cancelled as a result of Craig's knock.

The untitled 25th Bond outing, which co-stars Oscar victor Rami Malek, is reportedly Craig's fifth and final appearance as the British secret agent.

Craig previously stated that Bond 25 will be his final 007 film. Cary Fukunaga stepped in to direct, while Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge was brought in to punch up the script. Franchise veterans Ralph Fiennes, Naomi Harris, Lea Seydeoux, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, and Jeffrey Wright are set to return, while newcomers Dali Benssalah, Ana de Armas, Billy Magnussen, and Lashana Lynch are confirmed to be on board. We'll see if, after this latest setback, the still-untitled Bond 25 will make its April 8, 2020 release date.

Rami Malek was among the new additions to the cast, taking on the role of a villain.
