Phoenix Suns Forward Josh Jackson Arrested at Rolling Loud Festival

Phoenix Suns Forward and former Kansas Jayhawks star, Josh Jackson, was arrested this weekend at Miami's Rolling Loud festival.

Police said Jackson left but returned a short time later, again without the proper pass, and refused to leave.

Jackson was the 4th overall pick in the 2017 National Basketball Association draft. After attempts to get Jackson to leave were unsuccessful, an officer placed him in handcuffs. After he was handcuffed, Jackson ran away.

After being instructed to sit on a nearby golf cart, Jackson soon stood up and started to walk away. His arraignment hearing is slated for June 10. Once the officer's attention was focused elsewhere, Jackson took off running, but was later found by other officers.

A Suns spokesperson told ABC 15 in Arizona that the team is aware of the arrest and is "in the process of gathering more information".

Miami-Dade County police records show that Joshua O'Neal Jackson, born February 10, 1997, was arrested on a felony charge of escape with a misdemeanor for resisting an officer's arrest without violence.

In February, Jackson was criticized for missing an autograph event for Suns fans, and although he claimed he had 'family issues, ' the team still reportedly fined him.

Jackson was given a $1,000 bond, according to court records. Last season he averaged 11.5 points to go along with 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
