Actors lampoon Constance Wu's reaction to her show being renewed

After a couple of tweets in which Wu said that she was "upset" and "crying", the actress posted a statement Saturday on Twitter. One read, in part, "So upset right now that I'm literally crying".

Within the hour, the actress, who stars as Huang family matriarch Jessica, tweeted again, writing, "F-- hell".

The renewal of ABC sitcom Fresh Off the Boat for a sixth season has at least one person angry.

The kerfuffle began last week, when ABC announced that "Fresh Off the Boat" would return.

Wu reportedly topped off her tantrum by posting a "dislike" on the show's official Instagram announcement.

Wu's star rose considerably in 2018 with her lead role in "Crazy Rich Asians", a major hit that got her a Golden Globe nomination.

"I've always sought artistic challenge over comfort and ease", said Wu in a lengthy message posted to Twitter.

House Democrat Richard Neal issues subpoenas for Trump tax returns
The president was asked about a law allowing the heads of key congressional committees to gain access to any USA return. As the majority party in the House of Representatives, Democrats have broad investigative powers.

Needless to say, her followers are skeptical as to whether this is really what happened, or whether she's now back-pedalling, much like Constance Wu was forced to to after yesterday's unpleasantness. When a fan responded by congratulating her on the comedy's pickup and saying that it was "great news", Wu slammed it by simply tweeting in her reply, "No it's not". "But I do. I know it's weird", she said.

"I do regret that and it wasn't nice and I am sorry for that", she stated, adding that she knows how privileged she is to have options.

There was a lot of social media conversation regarding what Wu was upset about and why.

Still, she said she recognised why many people were upset over her initial tweets. Im proud to be a part of it. "Thank you. It's meaningful when you make the choice to believe women".

Constance Wu, who seemed rather unenthused at Fresh Off the Boat getting another season, has inspired other celebrities to react in the same way.

ABC had no comment when TV Guide reached out about Wu's tweets. "So I can both love the show/cast/crew but at the same time be disappointed that I lost that other unrelated job", she writes. "For all the fans support, thank u & for all who support my casual use of the word fuck-thank u too".
