Augmented reality Minecraft? Microsoft teases Pokémon Go-style adaptation of popular game

Microsoft have revealed a teaser trailer for what could be a new Minecraft AR game. The patch also introduced pandas, which we can only hope will be a day one feature in the Minecraft AR game.

Right before the correct owner returns, the app teases a full reveal on May 17 and directs viewers to the Minecraft website. Through it, she sees a blocky pig moving around in some grass and mud. According to that teaser, we will find out more on May 17th via Minecraft.net, which just leaves us with lots of questions.

I guess AR is the next logical step after VR, which Minecraft is, of course, already playable on.

Minecraft is one of the most popular games in the world, selling a staggering 154 million copies across all of the platforms it's available on - which is a lot of them - making it the second-best selling title of all time behind Tetris.
