Former sports reporter sues Luke Walton for sexual assault

A female sports reporter claims she was sexually assaulted by Sacramento Kings head coach Luke Walton.

Walton was a mentor to Tennant, the lawsuit says, and she came to the hotel to give him a copy of the book.

TMZ reports that, according to the lawsuit, Walton forced himself on a woman in his hotel room. Tennant claims that, when she arrived, he convinced her to go to his room. Once in the room, Tennant says Walton pinned her to the bed and started forcibly kissing her and groping her.

After the alleged incident, Tennant continued to interact with Walton because she says it was part of her job requirement.

Samsung Galaxy Fold launch events delayed in China
For now, Samsung plans to keep its U.S. release date set for April 26 with sales beginning in South Korea and Europe in May. Samsung has confirmed it will delay the Galaxy Fold's release in China - originally scheduled for April 24.

Neither the Warriors, Walton nor Spectrum SportsNet immediately responded to requests for comment.

The Warriors also released a statement, saying they only learned of the allegation on Monday and are seeking more information.

The Sacramento Kings hired former Los Angeles Lakers coach Luke Walton to a four-year deal on April 13, 2019. The team later said in a statement that the incident occured before Walton was an employee and it indeed wasn't reported to them.

"We are aware of the report and are gathering additional information". Prior to his three-year run in L.A., Walton was an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors from 2014-16. ESPN cited sources in reporting that the National Basketball Association opened an investigation into the case, although the league hasn't officially commented. The team had no other comment. "We'll have no further comment at this time".
